Chalet Cupelin is a spacious and light, interior designed chalet built in 2008. With over 450sq metres of space, over 4 floors, the chalet is ideal for large parties as it comprises a main chalet with a linked apartment below. The entire chalet can comfortably sleep 20 in eight individually designed bedrooms across the two interconnected apartments, and there are additional beds to sleep up to 24. The seating and dining areas are equally generous, with many more places to escape to read a book or play board games. This expansive space is unusual in a luxury ski chalet, yet the atmosphere is welcoming, warm, comfortable and fun.

The accommodation is spread over two interconnected apartments, so it is also possible to close off the 3 bedroom apartment for smaller parties.

Set within its own private 2000m2 grounds, the chalet enjoys superb Mont Blanc views and has a sauna and hot tub.

Accommodation comprises 6 en suite double / twin rooms. Two of these rooms have an extra adult size bed, and another has a bunk bed. There is also a family suite of 2 rooms which share a bathroom. Further sleeping is available on a double sofa bed on the mezzanine. Two temporary beds can also be set up in the Games room / Study, which also has an en suite bathroom.

All bathrooms have a bath with shower, and there is an additional shower room. There is ample space to relax with a large dining and seating area on the first floor, another dining / seating area on the ground floor, a TV room (with 50" Smart TV) and games room as well as a massage room and sauna. Wifi internet connection is available throughout.

The chalet is located in the heights of St Gervais. A free ski bus leaves from approximately 0.5km below the chalet, and when there is plenty of snow it is possible to ski back to the chalet, however we recommend you either bring your own car or hire one.

About St Gervais

Saint Gervais les Bains is a small, thriving market town, which has been a popular tourist destination since the early 1900s. It boasts the ownership of Europe’s highest mountain, Mont Blanc, and a stunning gorge location. The name derives from its Thermal Baths, and it is the only spa resort in the Alps. The 19th Century architecture gives the town an antique-chic feel, quite original in a ski resort. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming with numerous boutiques, small bars and restaurants to discover.
Saint Gervais les Bains is in the heart of the Evasion Mont-Blanc Ski Domain. With 445km of runs, it is the third largest in France. The scenery is stunning, sheltered by the mighty Mont Blanc.

St Gervais is at the heart of the 6 stations which make up the Evasion Mont Blanc Ski Domain. Super Chic Megeve is the closest and most widely known. It has been a destination for the ‘jet set’ since Baroness de Rothschild created a French rival to St Moritz at the being of the twentieth century. Some of the mountain restaurants here are the best in the world, others offer delicious fare at more affordable prices. St Nicolas de Veroce has barely changed over the past 100 years, with surely the most beautiful baroque church in the alps. Combloux and La Giettaz are to the west. The final station, Les Contamines-Montjoie is so snow sure it is often open when even the near by, high altitudes resorts of Flaine and Chamonix are closed. Not to be missed is a journey on the Mont Blanc Tramway, which leaves from St Gervais and travels almost half way to the summit, with spectacular views. From there you can ski in Les Houches, and down the World Cup Kandahar run, returning by tramway in the evening. The famous Vallee Blanche is also easy to access from St Gervais as Chamonix is less than 30 minutes by road. A 50 minute journey through the Mont Blanc tunnel and you can be skiing in Courmayeur, Italy. One of the many strengths of St Gervais is its unrivalled position within easy driving distance of many other resorts, some well know and some ‘undiscovered gems.’

Activities near St Gervais

St Gervais has a huge number of activities on offer. It is popular with walkers and cyclists in the summer - it is one of the starting points for the Tour du Mont Blanc. In winter Saint Gervais has a large ski area (over 440 km) which links to nearby Megeve. The Mont Blanc Tramway can be taken from Saint Gervais to the Bellevue plateau (1800m) or the Prarion giving skiers access to the Les Houches ski area in winter. Or it can be taken by walkers or those just wishing to see the wonderful panorama in winter or summer. For those who would like to relax a little St Gervais's famous thermal parc offers complementary therapies and massage.

The village also has a brand new indoor/outdoor pool complex with a 25m pool, a play pool, a paddling pool, an outdoor pool, a sauna and hammam. Also in the village is an olympic sized ice rink, clay tennis courts (with international tennis tournament in June) and
a great mini-golf course. Mountain bikes are easy to hire in the town too.

In summer the summer activity pass costs around 100 euros for a family of 4 or 5 for a week and gives access to the swimming pool, mini-golf, cable cars and activities at the leisure park in nearby Les Contamines.

There is also 25km of cross-country skiing.
