Chalet Aaron has luxury, comfort and hi-tech in a traditional Savoyard chalet. The chalet is ideal for families, groups or corporate bookings and can be booked on a either a room basis or the complete chalet for exclusive use. Situated less than 200 meters from the Linga Tele-Cabin, making it almost ‘Ski-in Ski-out’. With stunning south facing views of the valley, Chalet Aaron has been designed to cater for all your needs. We have put all our experience of running catered chalets into the design of this chalet.

Ski Chalet Layout:
On the lower level is the 6 seater Sauna, Games Room with Cinema Screen, Nintendo Wii, Table Football and Board Games. Outside is 6 seater Hot Tub where you can relax after a hard days skiing enjoying wonderful views of the valley and the Linga Ski Slopes. On this floor are 3 guest bedrooms.

On the middle floor is the large sumptuous lounge with Open Log Fire, Plasma SAT TV and DVD player. The dinning area and kitchen where your hosts will conjure up your delicious evening meals is also on this floor.

Outside is a large south facing balcony that wraps around the front of the chalet with great views over the pistes, ideal for catching
the last rays of the day and watching some of the many events that take place on the slopes day and night. Thursday night is floodlight skiing and during the season there are many races that take place or you can just gaze at the stunning scenery.

On the top floor are 3 bedrooms. 1 with En-Suite shower room and 2 rooms divided by a bathroom. Robes and hairdryers are supplied for your comfort. There are 4 twin rooms and 2 double rooms.

The Chalet Cuisine:
For seven days a week a continental style breakfast is served. A selection of cereals, croissants, pain au chocolate, bread,
yoghurts, jams and egg's set you up for a great days skiing (in addition twice a week you have the option of a cooked breakfast).

Afternoon tea and homemade cake are laid out for your return from the slopes. Dinner reflects the standard of your surroundings.
For 6 nights a week you will sit down to an exceptional four course meal, rounded off with coffee.

Once a week your chalet hosts will have a well earned evening off giving you the opportunity to sample one of the many excellent restaurants in the resort (we are happy to make the reservation at a restaurant of your choice).

Tea and coffee are available at any time.

Dietary needs can be catered for. If you feel there is something you are unable to do without, you are welcome to bring it with you.

During your meal you will be served with wine, to compliment your meal.

The home run is a great way to finish your days skiing stopping off at one or two of the quaint mountain huts for the local tipple then before meeting in the Shuss bar at the bottom.

In the evening, if you still have energy and are able to drag your-self away from the comforts of your chalet, there are some good bars locally, the more adventures can pop into the centre of Chatel where you will find a whole array of bars and restaurants where you can boogie the night away.

About Chatel

Chatel is a traditional Savoyard working farming village blessed with charm. A classic picture postcard in summer and winter. From early December to late April it is like Christmas all season.

Chatel village has some great fashion and sports clothing shops, souvenir and craft shops, newsagent and photography shops. Restaurants, Pizzerias, Creperies and some bars offer traditional Savoyard cuisine, snacks and takeaways.

All winter season Chatel puts on different types of entertainment for all to enjoy.

On Monday in winter the Tourist Office offer a welcome après ski drink of Vin Chaud at the centre of the village close to the Church. Some bars have Happy Hour with light music to help you unwind. Entertainment continues in the evenings.

Bars have live bands, discos, karaoke and themed nights. Visit the 5 lane bowling ally.

You can be sure there will be something for everyone. Getting around in Chatel is easy on the free Navette buses that will take you just about anywhere. The Petit Train is another way to see the village. The Chatel crèche is open all year in the village to take good care of your young children. At the top end of the village is the beautiful lake Vonnes. Here you can ice-skate, try ice diving or just enjoy a stroll.

Throughout the year the Wednesday market sells regional produce from Cheeses, Sausage, Fruit and Vegetables amongst many other items. The Tourist Office and some bars have Internet facilities. Open all year are the Banks with ATM’s.

Skiing in Chatel:
Chatel is just 1 of 12 resorts in the Portes Du Soleil linking France and Switzerland. The Portes Du Soleil is the largest linked ski area in the world offering 275 lifts and 650km of varied pistes to suit every, ability. From Chatel it is possible to ski into Switzerland and back taking in the breath taking views of the Dents du Midi, Mont Blanc and Lake Geneva.

Along the way, stop at one of the mountain restaurants or bars, for just a morning coffee, hot chocolate or lunchtime snack.

Chatel own ski domain offers everything a ski holiday should have: A magnificent ski area with 83km of superb pistes, covering 3 mountain areas: Super-Chatel, Barbossine and Le Linga/Pre-la-Joux. The skiing is excellent with well-maintained open pistes to tree lined runs. There are plenty of nursery slopes for the beginners. For the intermediates and advanced skiers there are super reds and challenging blacks. Super-Chatel offers a fantastic Boardercross and snow park and a tobogganing area.

Summer in Chatel:
In summer the village is just as beautiful, winning many awards for its floral efforts. The fountain at lake Vonnes is the highest in France! Here you can fish for trout to take home.

During summer the village has a free open air concert every Friday in the village square.

Again the buses are free giving you great access to many of the events the village has to offer.

For self–catered groups there are some great supermarkets.

Farm visits and mountain refuges can be booked at through the Tourist Office.
