Ski Holidays in La Tania:
La Tania is in the heart of The Three Valleys between both Courchevel and Méribel. It lies amidst pine forests and snowy pistes, with vast mountain ranges and unbeatable skiing on your doorstep. The Three Valleys has over 600km of piste consisting of 300 runs and 120km of cross country slopes, all serviced by 200 ski lifts, and an endless variety of mountain top restaurants.
La Tania village itself is served by a gondola and tow lift, giving skiers access to Courchevel, Méribel and the rest of the Three Valleys. From the top of the gondola, there are three beautiful, tree lined runs, (green, blue and red) that wind back down to La Tania, the blue of which is serviced by snow cannons all year round to maintain utmost piste conditions right up until the end of the Easter season. There are, in fact, a plentiful number of snow canons throughout the entire area ensuring you can enjoy skiing late into the season.
Skiing:
The surrounding ski area is ideally suited for any standard of skier. If you are just learning to ski, La Tania is ideally equipped for you, with gentle nursery slopes and a free beginners tow lift (Troika) overlooking the idyllic La Tania village.
For intermediate skiers, La Tania has unbeatable access to an extensive variety of green, blue and red runs in The Three Valleys ski area.
Advanced skiers prepare yourselves! There are 28 black runs throughout ‘Les Trois Vallées’ and an abundance of off-piste to challenge even the most demanding of adrenaline junkies! Courchevel is also home to several couloirs which are renowned as some of the hardest black runs in the world!
Snowboarding:
There is plenty of off piste for those not wanting to stick to pisted runs and enough gondolas and chair lifts to make it possible to completely avoid drag lifts. The Three Valleys is also host to seven snowboard parks, three of which are in Courchevel and a plentiful number of snow trails amidst the dense evergreen forests which offer breathtaking views of the mountainsides.
Summer in La Tania:
Mountain Biking
La Tania is widely renowned for its extensive mountain bike trails; boasting 256km of marked paths, split up into 16 downhill circuits (accessible via a lifts system) and 13 round trip circuits, making it a mountain biker’s paradise.
Golf
Try out the golf course in Courchevel 1850. It is situated at the foot of the Saulire mountains, overlooking the lake and offers a nine hole par three course, ideal for those new to golf. Alternatively, the course in Méribel boasts an eighteen hole par seventy course, accompanied by panoramic views of the valley.
Water Sports
White water raft the rapids of the Doron de Bozel river which runs to the foot of the Bozel valley in Courchevel or try Canyoning, and battle rapids and waterfalls and climb rocky canyons. The fast flowing Doron de Bozel river runs amidst treelined canyons and staggering snow capped mountains, and combined with the glorious blue sky and soaring temperatures, it guarantees a truly spectacular experience! Their centre is located close to La Tania village, (on the left as you start the road ascent up from Moutiers) or you can book the directly at the tourist office.
Or attempt hydrospeed and brave the rapids on a polystyrene body board, whilst desperately attempting not to swallow too much water! (Recommended for confident swimmers only). Or alternatively take on the rapids from the relative safety and comfort of a kayak. Both kayaking and hydrospeed are available in Orbassy, a short journey from the foot of the Alps.

Climbing:
Via ferrata are climbing tracks lying amidst the mountains, supported by steel cables and ladders for steeper sections. They offer some seriously breathtaking alpine views and the opportunity to take on some tough adrenaline inducing climbs! The closest via ferrata are at the Lac de la Rosiere near Courcheval, and it is ideal for beginners. There are many other via ferratasthroughout the Savoie region of varying difficulty, with some offering waterfalls, monkey bridges or zip lines.
