Nestling in the heart of picturesque Nancroix village, Chalet Myrtilles is a traditional 300 year old building, which has been carefully restored to provide an effective blend of original features and modern comforts. Chalet Myrtilles is an owner run chalet, offering excellent value for money, where we pride ourselves on attention to detail with excellent service and food. The friendly atmosphere in the chalet and its convenient location in the heart of Paradiski, one of the largest linked ski areas in the world, ensure that your holiday is as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. We offer traditional catered chalet holidays with breakfast, afternoon tea and a 4 course evening meal with wine as well as a bed and breakfast only option for those of you that would prefer to eat out or prepare your own food in the evenings. You can also rent the chalet on a purely self catered basis.

The picturesque village of Nancroix is in the heart of Paradiski on the edge of the spectacular Vanoise National Park. Despite its premier position in the heart of this massive resort it remains a traditional Alpine village where many of the inhabitants continue with their centuries old lifestyle (with a few modern conveniences of course)

From the chalet it's a short, 4 minute ride to one of the lifts in Les Arcs/Peisey Vallandry or to the spectacular Vanoise Express which crosses the Ponturin Valley to La Plagne. For the catered or bed and breakfast option morning and evening our private minibus is available to run you up to the resort and to ensure that you never have to walk more than a few meters in ski boots. We can arrange to pick you up from a piste side bar later in the day where you can either wait in the warm with a vin chaud or on the sunny terrace with a beer. If you take the chalet on a bed and breakfast basis the ski bus stops just 50m from the chalet and takes you to the nearest lift in about 5 minutes.

Chalet Accommodation Layout:

Level 1
Ski room with loads of space for coats, gloves, hats and boots. The ski room is always warm so that your clothes and boots are dry and ready for the next day's skiing. Just outside is a lock up for skis and boards.

Chloe's Room is next to the ski room. It has 2 single beds which can also be a large double and a built in cupboard with hanging space for those of you who prefer not to live out of a suitcase for a week. There is an en-suite shower room with a wash basin. The WC is separate and adjacent to the room. This room is ideal for couples who want a little more privacy as it is separate from the other bedrooms. For couples with babies it is quiet and tucked away and there is room for a cot.

Level 2
Melanie’s Room and Laura’s Room both have full sized twin beds. In one room these can be pushed together without a gap in the middle and in the other can be made into bunk beds allowing room for an additional full sized bed. Both rooms are en-suite with shower, wash basin, and WC. They have large chests of drawers for storing clothes.

Level 4
The spacious sitting, dining area is a lovely place to return to after a day on the mountain. It has a log fire, comfortable settees and armchairs and views of the mountains from the floor to ceiling windows. It retains many of the original features of the 300 year old barn including massive beams supporting the lauze stone roof and a larch wood floor which gives the whole room a warm and cosy feel. The Chalet Cuisine:
Whilst many of our guests have commented that Chalet Myrtilles is a real home from home where you can feel comfortable and relax, one thing you won’t have to do is cook! Our menus are carefully selected and prepared from fresh local produce and are one of the reasons why people return year after year.

Because we know how important a sustaining breakfast is at the beginning of a days skiing, in addition to a continental breakfast of fruit juice, cereal, yoghurt, fruit, fresh bread, crepes, waffles and preserves there is a daily cooked option which includes scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, sausage and grilled tomatoes and eggs benedict. There's always a bowl of steaming porridge available to set you up for a day on the mountain

Afternoon Tea
A delicious afternoon tea is ready on your return to the chalet at the end of the afternoon. You can sit by the log fire and enjoy a different fresh homemade cake every day.

Our four course evening meal served with wine and followed by coffee is a delicious way to relax after a day in the mountains. We pride ourselves on the quality of the food at Chalet Myrtilles, catering for all tastes and any special dietary requirements. Some of this year's highlights are bri and sweet chilli parcels served on rocket, followed by a twice cooked honey soy pork, finishing with home made panacotta with a wild berry coulis. A selection of French wines can be served with dinner instead of house wine if your group has sole occupancy of the chalet. Please contact us for details.

Children's Meals
Children under the age of 13 have their own special menu and eat before the adults. A quick chat on the first night usually sorts out any likes and dislikes so that we can make sure no one goes hungry and you can sit back and relax. If you would prefer to eat together for a real ‘family’ holiday let us know when you book and we can adjust the menus accordingly.

Staff Day Off
Midweek the staff have a day off so you will have the opportunity to explore some of the local eating places. One of the best restaurants in the area, known throughout the Alps for it's ambiance and the quality of the cuisine, is practically next door. On the staff day off a full continental breakfast is still served as well as tea and biscuits in the afternoon.

- Airport transfers
- Discounted lift passes ready for you on arrival
