Chalet Mur is privately owned and run by Ben & Clare, we lovingly renovated our 19th Century Farmhouse in the beautify village of St Michael Im Lungau, Austria and welcomed our first guests Christmas 2014. We are just 1 hour's drive from Salzburg and ideally located to reach 3 ski resorts within 5-10 minutes.
We offer fully catered holidays year round, prices include airport transfers from Salzburg, continental breakfast, afternoon tea and cake daily and 3 course dinner with complimentary wine on 6 evenings each week.
With 6 generously sized en-suite bedrooms, all with balconies, we cater comfortably for groups of 10-15.
The ski shuttle bus stops at the front door whisking you to the uncrowded slopes in a matter of minutes!
We have added a comfortable lounge, complete with wood burning stove and VERY comfortable sofas for you to lounge in after a great day in the mountains.

About Sankt Michael im Lungau
St Michael and the Lungau valley have snow sure winters as we catch the weather from both South and West. Surrounded by 3 ski resorts which are all family friendly and truly uncrowded for the majority of the season. perfect for skiers of all ability, you can ski different runs and still meet up for breaks and lunch in the wonderful and mainly family-run mountain restaurants. We have the A1, (red run) one of the longest in Austria at 7km in our local resort.
For non-skiers there are picturesque walks, both along the river or try a snowshoe walk through the woods. Sleigh rides are available or for those adventurous types you can try ice driving just a 10 minute walk away.
Night skiing happens twice a week and is a great experience!
The golf course is 10 minutes away as is the local model aircraft field which is incredibly popular in the summer.
Horse riding happens year round, there is a challenging High Ropes course just 10 minutes away too.
Summer sees many traditional festivals in St Michael and the neighbouring villages and there are numerous Castles to tour, including the Mautendorf Castle which runs banquet events too......
Hiking and mountain bike trails offer all levels of challenges, you can hire and e-bike though if you don't fancy doing the pedaling yourself!
The Lungau is also part of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, that means amazingly stunning walks.
If this all sounds too taxing you can spend the day lounging by the St Michael outdoor pool or take a ride on the narrow gauge steam railway.
