Aspen Ski Resort

Aspen ski resort lies high in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. It is one of the best known ski resorts in the USA and has long been associated with glamorous skiing and attracting the coolest skiers in the US as well as many celebrities. Originally an old mining town, Aspen has managed to retain a lot of its old charm and character. The resort now boasts many modern apartments and expensive shops. The town is located at the Rockies and the ski area includes four mountains. In total there are 4 ski areas to choose from including Aspen, Snomass, Buttermilk and Aspen Highlands. All 4 resorts are linked with quick ski buses.

Aspen Snowmass is known worldwide for its excellent snow cover throughout the ski season, empty ski slopes and perfectly groomed runs. With over 300 inches (7.6 meters) of fresh snowfall every year Aspen is a mecca for powder hounds. The four mountains offer some 5300 acres of ski terrain with something on offer for every level of skier or snowboarder. For beginner Buttermilk is the best place the start with plenty of easy beginner runs and wide tree lined slopes. For intermeditate levels it is hard to beat Snowmass as it has acres and acres of beautifully groomed runs and pistes to suit all levels. For the expert and advanced skiers you will find plenty of challenges in the Aspen Highlands including lots of backcountry powder and double diamond runs. There are 2 snow parks in the area with Snowmass hosting the largest all terrain park in the world.
