Saalbach-Hinterglemm Ski Circus
Saalbach Hinteglemm is one of the top ski resorts in the Austrian Alps, offering a huge selection of ski runs, plenty of off piste and excellent snow conditions throughout the ski season. Together Saalbach, Hinterglemm, Vorderglemm and Leogang form the ski area known as the Ski Circus with access to over 200km of pistes and lots of off piste areas. This is one of the most popular destinations for a ski holiday in Austria.
Located in the Glemm valley and close to Salzburg this picturesque ski resort offers skiing and snowboarding for all levels. This Austrian ski resort is particular popular with beginner and intermediate level skiers and is well known for the excellent tuition available. With the nursery slops located right in the center of both villages it is an ideal setup for a family ski holiday or a group of friends learning together. There are plenty of challenging blue and red runs for intermediates and some amazing off piste for those looking for more of a challenge.
The ski area is located on both sides of the Glemm valley which benefits those looking for sunny skiing. However be warned that the south facing slopes can start to deteriorate in the afternoons especially later in the season. You needed worry as the Ski Circus has an impressive network of snow cannons to ensure excellent snow throughout the season.
