150 metres ski to the nearest lift and normally you can ski back to the chalet!
THE CHALET Chalet Mathilde is a beautiful, spacious chalet with plenty of social and private spaces for you to enjoy your alpine holiday. There is a large open plan lounge/kitchen/dining space that leads onto a private balcony with stunning views of Mont Blanc and the Northern Alps stretching into the distance.
In addition there is another large sunny terrace with outside lounge furniture where you can watch the mountains turn pink.
CHALET ENTERTAINMENT : Chalet Mathilde has a large spacious warm lounge with contempory comfortable sofas with enough seating for 14 people, wifi, TV, NetFlix, XBox and bluetooth HK speaker. Also a good selection of board games.
THE BEDROOMS : The chalet sleeps up to 14 people with twin ensuite bedrooms a king ensuite bedroom and 1 family room sleeping up to 4 - twin and bunk beds. All the bedrooms have full headroom, 2 pillows per bed, toiletries, fluffy 100% cotton bath sheet towel and hand towel, dressing gown for use with the jacuzzi, hairdryer per room.
We supply all the bed linen and luxurious towels with a change of towels mid-week if you wish. Outdoor shoes are not allowed in the chalet so it is a good idea to bring slippers or indoor shoes. Please note this is a non-smoking chalet.
SKI ROOM : we have a ski/snowboard storage area as you come into the chalet, seating and heated boot warmers plus a shelving unit for your outside boots and plenty of hooks and drying spaces for coats, gloves and scarves.
BABIES : are welcome, we have stairgates, cot, and high chair on request.
LAUNDRY ROOM washing machine and tumbler dryer.

SKIING & BOARDING
We are in the heart of the Paradiski area (425km of piste) offering more than enough variety for any level of skier or snowboarder. The Paradiski area comprises of the 2 huge ski areas of La Plagne and Les Arcs linked by the Vanoise Express cable car. Montchavin-Les Coches is perfectly placed in the centre giving quick and easy access to both areas.
The Paradiski area has something for everybody. For beginners there are three local areas specifically designed for you with nursery slopes separated from, but next to, one of the tree lined runs, which leads back to your accommodation. A network of snow cannons on the lower slopes ensures that you will normally be able to ski back home.
The wide blues and reds of the Paradiski area are perfect for intermediates and the blacks on the Bellcôte Glacier and Aiguille Rouge are testing enough for any advanced skier or boarder. The famous off-piste route down the North Face of the Bellcôte Peak is well worth experiencing - you will need a qualified guide to show the way, we can vouch for the fact that it is awesome.
This is a great area for boarders, beginners and experts alike. There are some fantastic cruisy blues to get you started, a great off-piste playground, half pipe, board parks and boarder cross.
The size of the Paradiski area (one of the largest ski areas in the world) means there are plenty of day trips visiting other linked ski stations such as Les Arcs, Villaroger, Montalbert and Champagny.

THE VILLAGES
We are situated in the mountain villages of Montchavin and Les Coches. Les Coches and Montchavin are 3 km apart, with their own ski area at the heart of the massive Paradiski area of La Plagne/Les Arcs.
Les Coches is a village of traditional style buildings with a combination of old world character and contemporary comfort, with a few local restaurants and bars. There are 2 bars and 1 night club open till late for those of you who can dance until 4am!
Montchavin is an authentic Savoyarde village and a vibrant ski station. As night falls the village lights make for a magical setting in this picturesque mountain village. Access by vehicle to the centre of the village is strictly controlled which means there is very little noise to disturb the tranquillity.

Fantastic Holiday
Thirteen of us stayed in this lovely warm and very comfortable chalet. The food was epic and the staff were kind helpful and very friendly. We were given lifts to and from the chalet. Bars and shops were close by which was great. Everywhere we went people were friendly. It felt very safe there. Had the best holiday and will be back next year. Thank you so much Team Mathilde for being part of such an amazing holiday.

Good all rounder
Very spacious chalet even with 7 tall teenage lads in toe Great location to the slopes and perfect storage for all you kit.
Food was delicious and very generous in quantity. Our chalet hosts looked after us subtly but very well.
Chalet layout worked really well for a group of families and the hot tub was a bonus.
Our only complaint would be that they need to invest in some new pillows.
Otherwise it was a fantastic stay and good value.
