Chalet Isobel is a gorgeous ski chalet in an excellent location, boasting a seamless mix of traditional alpine charm with contemporary style. With all the facilities of luxury modern living (including a log fire and 8 person hot-tub), the chalet has been carefully designed to provide mountain lovers with every comfort.

*** SLEEPS 8:
Four elegantly styled luxury bedrooms, all with private bathrooms. Each of the 4 bedrooms feature luxurious duvets, pillows, fresh white linen and fluffy towels.

*** VERY CLOSE TO THE SLOPES:
Ski back to within 250m from the chalet. Ski bus stop directly outside chalet. 500m walk to main Linga gondola. Part of the vast Portes du Soleil ski area, with over 650km of pistes.

*** OPEN PLAN LIVING AREA - LOG FIRE:
Located on the 1st floor, the living and dining room has retained its original log fire, and has been designed to offer the perfect blend of the old and new. A large balcony runs the length of the south-facing chalet, offering stunning views over the garden, valley and mountains.

*** FULLY EQUIPPED KITCHEN:
Kitted out with all the equipment and utensils that you'll need, the kitchen is also part of the open plan living space on the 1st floor. Oven, dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer, coffee machine, microwave.

*** MEDIA DEN:
The media den is on the 2nd floor, and is the perfect hideaway for children and adults alike. The den has a smart TV, allowing you to watch anything that is online (or anything on your apple or android device). Bluetooth music speakers allow you to listen to your favourite tunes. We've also got a table football, as well as a load of board games for all the family! Perfect for relaxation.

Relax in style in our outdoor 8 person hot tub jacuzzi, overlooking our large south-facing beautiful garden which leads down to the river.

About Chatel

Châtel is a beautiful village in the French Alps full of spectacular scenery and traditional mountain charm. It’s situated at the end of the picturesque and rural Abondance valley and set between Lake Geneva and Mont-Blanc.

Not far from the Swiss border at 1200m above sea level, Châtel has grown over the years from a small farming community to become a world-class ski resort (as well as a very popular summer destination). Despite this, Châtel remains an authentic perfectly preserved mountain village – there are many working farms which contribute to the village’s economic development – and one which has maintained that feel by gradually expanding while still respecting the environment and its heritage.

Although well known by the French, Châtel is largely undiscovered by many British skiers, primarily because there are no major tour operators based here. However it’s unquestionably a hidden treasure, with an atmosphere unlike anywhere else in the Alps, sitting in the heart of one of the largest ski areas in the world.

If, on the day before arrival, any of the circumstances outlined below apply to your booked dates, and this results in your booking being cancelled, then you will be entitled to a 100% credit note to the value of your accommodation payments.


Valid circumstances covered by these Covid-19 cancellation terms are limited to:

  • official closure of the property due to Covid-19 restrictions
  • if the government of the country where the property is located, imposes a mandatory travel restriction preventing travel either to the country or to the property, or imposes a mandatory quarantine on arrival
  • if the government of your country of departure, imposes a mandatory travel restriction preventing travel either to the country or region where the property is located
  • if the government of your country of departure, advises against all non essential travel to the country or region where the property is located

All other reasons will not be considered a valid reason to utilise the Covid-19 cancellation terms, and the standard cancellation terms will apply. These include, but are not limited to:

  • an unwillingness to travel
  • an inability to travel due to medical reasons (including any related to Covid-19)
  • an inability to travel due to vaccination status
  • individual or household stay-at-home orders

These Covid-19 cancellation terms are valid up to the day before arrival. After this date there will be no refund or credit note should Covid-19 have an impact upon your booking.


Your country of departure will be determined by the address used at the time of booking and this address will apply to all parties on the booking.


It is your responsibility to comply with all relevant health and/or vaccination requirements in the countries you are travelling to and from.


Where a credit note is issued this will be valid for 12 months and can be used against a future booking in the property. The arrival date of the future booking must be within 15 months from your original arrival date.
