We have our own transport to the Gondula in the morning and can organise an ofternoon pick up if you are desperate but most people like to walk dow nadn sample to cafes aadn bars.....lovely Apre ski, where you are met with the cake of the day and hot drinks.
The bedrooms are tastefully furnished with comfortable mattresses and the bathrooms all have powerful relaxing showers. we have two kitchenette areas for you to make your own hot drinks and store you nibbles and beer in the fridge.
Our bedrooms are relaxing and cosy with a good central heating systemso you should never be cold whilst in our accommodation. lots of blankets around to wrap up in if you are a snuggler.

Because of the Covid 19 pandemic and possible border closurers, we can discuss this with you prior to booking. I would suggest reading the small print on your holiday insurance and checking what the situation is with the cover you are buying, as after I read a number of holiday insurance packages, some cover this and others do not. We are a small organisation and we will have driven out to the chalet in Bulgaria from the UK for the winter so are 100% commited to your booking, for any bookings we have over the winter season. We can not refund you beyond the normal refund policy on all chalets.
Airport transfers- these were 15 euros per person for airport pickup and drop off from sofia airport, if the prices are more than this, traventuria who we use, may put up the prices or be unable to book us in with late bookings, Some groups choose to self drive in thier own transport and you can find on street parkign for free. Some people do opt for hiring thier own vehicle from sofia airport as this will allow you to self drive to the top gondola station, which can be to your advantage, especially as the local taxi's will charge you 50 euro min for a drive to the top gondola per day.

About Bansko

Bansko is beautiful in both summer and winter, having many activity sports for all seasons. Its a well developed SKI resort that has kept it traditional centre and charm, Mehanas (Traditional Bulgarian Restaurants), Churches and cobbled streets. It has a soul unlike some ski resorts
Our little local corner-shops are local prices as we are not right up in the Tourist ski part of Bansko. Bansko has two halves really, and I love living in the local traditional part of Bansko, yet have access to the lively part of the ski area and night life.
Bulgaria is much cheaper than its Northern European counter parts but it competes well with its selection of well groomed slopes and off pist areas and mountain restaurants in winter.
Summer is wild and exciting without the huge number of tourists you get in France and switzerland. I run Pirin Adventures in the summer, a trekking company that offers full week holidays tailored to our guests needs. In the winter I am like you, I am here for the snow and skiing and I also take clients out for snow shoeing and cross country skiing when time allows. The local people are friendly and warm and I live here 9 months of the year and i love it.

Activities near Bansko

Skiing, snow boarding, snow shoeing and cross country/back country skiing, winter moutnaineering and ice climbing in winter
march onwards you can add white water rafting to your activity list
Trekking and Hiking, Horse riding, rock climbing, scrambling and mountaineering in summer
We also have a narrow gauge railway line that takes you to Plovdiv, the old Bulgarian capital and its a lovely place with it Roman amphitheater and fountains and parks.
Sofia is not that far away and quite often my guests book and extra day and stay an extra night her to soak in the city life.

Local sports activities

On-site: Walking

Within 15 minutes: Mountain biking, Skiing

Within 45 minutes: Swimming, Horse riding, Climbing, Golf, Tennis

swimming can be at a number of hotels, or we can take you to the Mineral pools in Banya for a small fee
So far Climbing is only in summer
Horse riding is generally in the summer only
Most of the other sports are weather dependant.......snow will stop you playing tennis and golf I suspect.
We have a gym down stairs too

Local leisure activities

On-site: Restaurant

Within 15 minutes: Food shop, Museum, Shopping, Historic site

Great for Walking holiday, Sight-seeing, Romantic, Good night life, Cycling holiday, Summer holidays, Ski Holidays
