Boutique self-catering ski chalet in the secret Alpine village of Vaujany, Alpe D’Huez. Perfectly located minutes by main ski lifts. Sleeping from 2 to 20 people
This amazing three bedroom chalet provides guests with accommodation in three double bedrooms (all of which can be made up as super king or twin beds). Just 3 minutes from the main lift station, with plenty of space, breathtaking views and elegant, fresh design, this is the perfect base for six people to enjoy mountain living to the full.
The chalet is spread over three floors. Two double bedrooms, with south-facing balconies, plus a shared bathroom make up the top floor. On the floor below sits the spacious open plan sitting room, dining room and kitchen with doors opening onto a south-facing balcony, the third double bedroom and a second WC. On the ground floor is the entrance hall and washing machine.
Immediately outside the chalets there are a couple of parking spaces as well as a drop off area. Fortunately Vaujany has plenty of free parking close by for extra cars (much of it underground) and we can direct you it on arrival.

About Vaujany, Alpe d'Huez
Vaujany is a rather secret and unique alpine village with state of the art facilities. Located at the centre of the Oisans, Vaujany has its own beautifully-maintained pistes and is linked to the huge ski area of Alpe d'Huez Grand Domaine. The village retains its charming authentic roots with chickens roaming safely in quiet corners.
Situated at a height of 1250m, facing the Massif des Grandes Rousses, a fast 160 person cable car, only a few minutes walk from our chalets, whisks you into the heart of a ski area with more than 250kms of prepared pistes, including the fantastic Sarenne - the longest black run in Europe. Vaujany is rare in that it is ideal for mixed abilities with advanced and varied off piste skiing easily accessible. At the top of the Montfrais bubble, in the Vaujany ski area, ESF’s ski school sits a stone's throw from comfortable restaurants and fun practice runs for little ones.
Many enjoy summer in Vaujany as much as winter with fantastic access to mountain biking, climbing, treetop surfing, kayaking and other outdoor activities in the fresh, alpine air with meadow flowers at your feet.
Vaujany is a compact resort easily accessible by foot and car with lots of free parking. For pedestrians the resort is brilliantly linked by a series of escalators and lifts taking you from top to bottom of the village in minutes.

Ice skating: Vaujany boasts an international indoor ice rink where the French teams come together to play and
practice. Take the children for a skate and watch one of the exciting ice hockey matches
Leisure centre: Including a 25m indoor pool with long tube slide and separate children’s paddling pool, the leisure centre also has a sauna and steam room, gym and 4 lane bowling alley
Childcare: The nursery and children’s club is purpose built and has an excellent reputation. It is open daily and welcomes children from 6 months to 11 years.

Immediately outside the chalets there are a couple of parking spaces as well as a drop off area. Vaujany has plenty of free parking close by for extra cars (much of it underground) Award-winning Vaujany is an amazing resort for kids: Discovering Vaujany with children of mixed ages, including babies in tow, we have been impressed by the facilities. This is especially true for the nursery ‘La Garderie’ which has transformed our holidays. The staff speak reasonable English and the Garderie is conveniently situated close to the main lift-station making drop-offs and pick-ups easy and efficient to tie in with skiing. The care and dedication given by the Vaujany ESF surpasses many previous experiences of ESF in other resorts. Over 25 years the Vaujany ESF team has established a fantastic reputation for quality teaching and happy clients. Ski school is on offer as well as tailored individual lesson The village has a swimming pool with water slides. (Only tight shorts accepted for boys), spa and incredible ice-rink. There is also bowling.
We don't have bicycles but they can be hired in advance in the village or down in Allemonde - the e-bikes are brilliant. Please ask for details. |
