The Barn @ Truemanalp is a beautifully converted traditional Alpine barn in an exceptional location in the heart of Samoëns village, directly opposite the Grand Massif Express gondola. Combining character, comfort and a little bit of fun, it is the perfect base for families and groups of friends looking for a memorable mountain holiday, with the village, ski lift and mountains quite literally on your doorstep. Guests also have access to our heated outdoor swimming pool from April to October.
The Barn has been converted to a high standard while retaining the warmth and character you would expect from an Alpine property. It is designed to feel like a real home rather than simply holiday accommodation – somewhere you can come back to after a day skiing, walking or exploring the mountains, put your feet up and properly relax with family and friends.
The property is offered on a sole-occupancy, self-catered basis, giving you complete independence throughout your stay. For the winter months there is an option to have semi-catering all week.
An unbeatable Samoëns location
One of The Barn's biggest advantages is its location. We are situated in Samoëns village centre, directly opposite the Grand Massif Express gondola, giving you wonderfully easy access to the Grand Massif ski area in winter and the mountains in summer.
Being in the village also means you can enjoy Samoëns without having to rely on a car for everything, with its restaurants, bars, shops and traditional village atmosphere close at hand.
Swimming pool & relaxation
Relaxing is a very important part of a Truemanalp holiday. Our heated outdoor swimming pool is available from April through to October and has a glass dome, making it a lovely place to unwind after a day in the mountains. During particularly harsh or cold weather, however, conditions can occasionally mean that it is too cold to swim comfortably.
For a little extra indulgence, we also have a beauty salon on site, allowing guests to book treatments during their stay.
Ski & bike facilities
For winter guests, there is a dedicated heated ski and boot room with boot dryers, so you can start each morning with warm, dry boots. The entrance is located in our open, covered area, making it convenient when returning from the slopes.
The location also makes The Barn a fantastic base outside the ski season, with Samoëns surrounded by walking, cycling, mountain biking and other outdoor activities.
Your hosts
Truemanalp is our home as well as our business. Tony and I live on site in our own completely separate apartment, so we are nearby if you need help, advice or local recommendations during your holiday.
Otherwise, we leave you to enjoy The Barn, your holiday and your independence.
Getting here
Geneva Airport is approximately one hour from Truemanalp, making Samoëns particularly convenient for guests travelling from the UK and elsewhere in Europe. We are happy to recommend local airport transfer companies and help with information before your arrival.
For us, Truemanalp has always been about much more than providing somewhere to sleep. We want The Barn to be somewhere you can relax, spend time together and make the sort of mountain-holiday memories that bring you back to Samoëns again and again.
