Description
Both the interior and exterior have been restored by very talented local craftsmen and as such the chalet is full of fantastic character and original features. It has 5 en-suite bedrooms and is 5 minutes walk from the town centre of Bansko.
The chalet offers views across the pistes of the Pirin mountain range and has a 4 person outdoor hottub in the courtyard garden.
Sleeping up to 12 friends or family the chalet has a large open log fire and a games room with a full size table tennis table and dart board. There are two double rooms, one twin, one triple and the final room has a double with two singles.
The chalet is set in its own enclosed courtyard, so the kids (or adults!) can have fun in the snow.
Guests can relax in front of the open log fire on large comfortable sofas and beanbags in the sitting room, before retiring to the dining area to enjoy our fantastic cuisine. A two course evening meal, complemented by unlimited fine Bulgarian wines and beer, is prepared by an experienced chef and left ready for you to pop into the oven and serve.
Each morning we provide a continental breakfast accompanied by a selection of fresh bread, cereals, yogurts and conserves and when you return from the slopes you can tuck into our homemade cakes and biscuits.

About Bansko
Bansko is Bulgaria’s largest and most prestigious ski resort. Over the last few years, a multi-million pound investment has created 75km of pistes spread between 1000 and 2600m.
An 8 man gondola and a 9km floodlit piste link the ski area to the town. Eight brand new chair lifts access the slopes from the top of the gondola, with a new ski cross and freestyle snow park area having opened for the 2009 season for advanced skiers and snowboarders.
Conditions for beginners are excellent. With mini drag lifts, a nursery area, a magic carpet and many English speaking instructors available at low prices, Bansko is the perfect resort in which to find your feet.
The resort has the best snow record in Bulgaria, becoming famous for sunny skiing and superb off-piste powder. The season runs from mid December to until mid April, with 70 new snow cannons (covering 80% of the pistes) enhancing piste conditions. The ski area runs alongside the Pirin National Park (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and fantastic views can be enjoyed across to Greece to the South and the Rila and Rhodopi mountain ranges to the North.
The town itself has a very unique charm, combining a stunning traditionally cobbled mediaeval centre with a more modern area offering clubs, bars and restaurants.
Traditional ‘Mehanas’ (restaurants) serve local cuisine and fine Bulgarian wine accompanied by live music from the Pirin region.

Incredible Stay
A group of 12 (family and friends, children & adults) of us stayed at Chalet Elena for the week of Christmas and we had the best time. The skiing was amazing but the chalet really made the holiday special. The living space was perfect for relaxing or playing games and the bedrooms all worked perfectly. Matt was amazing at looking after us and Tony cooked incredible meals every night. It really was an Incredibly special holiday and we have already talked about trying to come back to the same chalet again. Thank you to everyone at Chalet Elena for making it such a memorable holiday!

Many thanks to Matt and Ellie for a fabulous stay. Nothing was too much bother, they bent over backwards to accommodate our wishes, even at short notice. Tony, the Chef, provided us with fab food, going the extra mile to provide food for one of our group who had an allergy, even providing a cake for a birthday, when it was his day off the next day. !!! we couldn't have asked for more. Chalet Elena providing us with a perfect 5 star holiday experience.
