The unique Snomads Chalet Prince is a perfect base, constantly popular due to its superb location. It sits a short stroll from Bansko’s bars, taverns and shops. A welcoming retreat for those looking for an authentic chalet experience.

This chalet boasts a traditional subterranean Bansko style Mehana (dining room). Upstairs is a cosy lounge with large TV, retro consoles and plenty of our favourite board games. All rooms have en-suite wet rooms with a range of doubles, twins and singles, some with sunny balconies. An onsite steam room is available, and of course outdoor table tennis. Chalet Prince is the perfect spot for your winter holiday.

The chalet comfortably sleeps 18 guests with 10 en-suite bedrooms spread over 3 floors.

We're pleased to announce that this season we'll be working with Carbon Footprint to make all our chalets carbon-neutral, give us a shout if you're interested to know more!

In addition to free airport transfers, we also offer a complimentary minibus service meaning that getting to and from the piste every day is effortless. And should there be a 20 minute or longer gondola queue, we will transfer you straight up the mountain! To make things even better we offer unlimited wine and beer during meal times, and you can always count on there being a bottle of our very own Rakia for the more adventurous types.

At Snomads every chalet we run is as an Eco-chalet, meaning everything you eat is home-cooked and responsibly sourced. We buy from local producers at the market early each week, collect wild herbs, make our own home-made jams, pickles and chutneys and to top it all off bake a variety of handmade breads throughout the week just for you. If interested we're even happy to give lessons!

Combining these fresh ingredients enables us to offer delicious 2-course evening meals combining tasty European dishes with traditional Bulgarian influences and really offering a truly unique experience.

Children under 3 go free and those under 13 can enjoy a 15% discount on the adult price.

Activities near Bansko

The charming historic town of Bansko can trace its roots back to Thracians (pre Roman) times, long before any skiing arrived.

Its location sits at the bottom of the UNESCO recognised Pirin National Park, nestled on the edge of an expansive plateau with the lower, but no-less beautiful rolling ranges of the Rila and Rhodolpe mountains.

As skiing has expanded, so too has Bansko. Now Bulgaria’s largest, most popular and best-loved ski resort, there is a lively feel to the town and resort with plenty of activities to keep you busy if you’re not planning on skiing.

The town itself is full of Balkan charm and charisma, especially the old town centre, which is a captivating throwback to the village that has now become a ski resort.

With a wide range of restaurants, bars and old Mehanas (taverns), Bansko town and mountain has a bustling atmosphere. From international cuisine to traditional Bulgarian treats, there really is something for everyone. If an aprés party is your preferred theme, Bansko has you covered with plenty of mountain bars, town pubs and entertaining nightclubs.

There are two sides to every mountain, especially in Bansko. The natural beauty of the Pirin National Park is clear to see. If you fancy a day off or want to try something different, you’ve come to the right place. With a variety of bustling markets and a wide range of activities on offer, the town has everything you need.

- Go walking or snowshoeing in the mountains (guide can be arranged)
- Visit geothermal mineral springs in local village
- Excursion to one of Bulgaria’s oldest churches
- Spend time wandering around the local markets
- Go up the gondola for the views (separate gondola pass available)
- Horse riding
- Visit Bansko’s old town
- Come back in the summer for our cultural tour
