Highest Ski-in Ski-out Catered Ski Chalet in Resort

Cosy log fires, authentic local style, magnificent views, delicious cuisine and top class service - all of this in the highest ski-in ski-out chalet on our mountain. The ideal hideaway, is uniquely situated and is accessible only by ski, foot, or skidoo. Totally remote, but only one hour from Geneva.

At 1550m, La Ferme is the highest inhabited house in the resort. Le Grand Bornand’s has an excellent snow record and 100km of pistes that can be accessed from our front door making it perfect for families. Hardcore skiers have awesome off piste and ski touring and can pop to La Clusaz, 10 minutes away, for another 150km of pistes.

La Ferme du Soleil is truly one of a kind, set in an undiscovered French resort. Our many returning guests love the chalet for the unrivalled access to the pistes and the ageless character that La Ferme du Soleil exudes.

With an excellent snow record the skiing options are diverse. Undulating blues for the beginners, some of the steepest blacks in France for the pros and untouched off-piste for the adventurous. Our central location also offers non-skiers an array of activities to enjoy. There really is something for everyone in Le Grand Bornand, right on our doorstep.

The chalet has 6 bedrooms & 6 bathrooms, and ideally sleeps 12 people. It can sleep up to 16 people if 4 of the guests are under 12 years. Please note that because the chalet dining room only seats 14 (12 comfortably), our hosts will run a separate children’s tea before the adults dinner if the chalet is at capacity.

All bedrooms have their own en-suite bathrooms with showers, toilet and washbasin.
Middle floor:
Master Room - two singles, can be zipped together to make a Super King sized (very wide) bed. A third mattress can be added if the room is used by children.
Blue Room - two singles.
Yellow Room - double bed.
Red Room - double bed with own bathroom along the corridor.

Lower floor:
Writer’s Retreat - double bed and two single bunks.
Family bedroom - two singles, which can be pushed together, with incorporated bunk-room of 2 bunks (each 178 cm/5’10” long). En-suite bathroom shared with the incorporated bunk-room.
