About La Plagne
The ski area of Paradiski (Les Arcs & La Plagne) are joined together via the Vanoise Express cable car, which is capable of transporting 200 people in its double decker car across the ponturin valley a mile from the valley floor from one side to the other and at this present time is the worlds largest cable car. The combined area of Paradiski (Les Arcs & La Plagne) has over 425km of skiable pistes and is one of the largest ski areas in the World. Both resorts on either side of the Ponturin Valley have skiing from 1200m to 3226m and 3250 respectively, and also one of the longest Black/Red runs in the World, the Aigulle Rouge down to Le Pre, where you can stop at the bottom for a well earned drink in the excellent restaurant La Ferme. All the resorts have a variety of pistes for all standards of skier from gentle blues to steep and deep, off-piste and couloirs.
Our chalet in Les Coches is at the heart of the area, lying just one lift from the Vanoise Express, the world’s largest cable car, which links the two sides of the Paradiski, La Plagne and Les Arcs. Les Coches at 1,450m is a small, modern village with a friendly atmosphere and Chalet Jessica probably has one the best ski location you will ever find for a ski holiday. Located within the village at the bottom of the piste into Les Coches, within 50 metres of the Plan Bois chair lift. There is also a short gondola which takes you up to the ice rink and childrens ski school area. The traffic-free villages have a variety of shops, including local speciality shops, small supermarkets, a few bars and several restaurants, as well as one nightclub. New for 2011/2012 will be a new swimming pool and spa complex located in Montchavin and is one of three being constructed in the French Alps.

Excellent Chalet
We had the most amazing week in your beautiful home Thanks for the opportunity to enjoy it
We loved absolutely everything about the chalet I think you have thought of everything possible when designing it Jan and Jana were wonderful hosts - so friendly, welcoming and accommodating - the food they served daily was absolutely delicious and enjoyed by all - my son is allergic to fish and I forgot to mention that - but Jan and Jana were so helpful on salmon night, offering chicken instead that night at short notice
Homemade cakes were wonderful and great variety at breakfast Christmas dinner was just fantastic The wines were well chosen and delicious Jan and Jana are genuinely lovely warm people, very good at their job and we enjoyed chatting with them plus they were very knowledgeable about the area - we couldn’t fault them at all The lovely little touches (piste maps, packets of tissues and mini chocolates) were so thoughtful too
Cannot rate the chalet or the experience highly enough
