Description
Chalet d'Ambrumenil is a comfortable and traditional village farmhouse, in the beautiful heart of the original village of Courchevel. The chalet is just 30 metres from the piste and the Tovets ski lift. The ski school, ski hire shop, and tourist office are all within 100 metres. While the outside of the chalet is in keeping with the rustic local environment, the interior was completely restored and furnished in a comfortable mountain style. As it is privately owned, we have furnished the chalet to a high standard and with comfortable furniture. There are sofas and arm chairs in the sitting room plus a club fender around the open log fire.
Chalet Accommodation Details:
- Located just 30 metres from the slopes and the Roys lift
- 5 bedrooms with up to 12 beds available
- All bedrooms have en-suite shower or bathrooms
- Large and well furnished sitting and dining area
- Open log fire
- Entertainment system: Sky TV, stereo, DVD, Internet Access
- Ski boot rack with heated dryers.
- Hairdryers are provided in each bedroom.
- An additional bedroom can be made available by prior arrangement.
Catered Chalet Service:
The chalet staff live in (in staff rooms) to ensure the best possible service. All chalet staff are recruited from Orchards Cookery School. The following is included for all those staying at the chalet:

- Three-course dinner
- Red and white wine

About Courchevel
Courchevel is amidst stunning scenery in Les Trois Vallees and links with Meribel and Mottaret, Val Thorens, Les Menuires and a number of other smaller villages which are well worth visiting if only for a well earned lunch. With 600 kilometres of pistes and over 200 ski lifts, the scope is unlimited. When the weather conditions are right, touring Les Trois Vallees across to Meribel, Mottaret, Val Thorens and Les Menuires offers an exhilarating days skiing. The Grand Couloir is thought to be one of the ten most challenging runs in the world. The deep powder and steep black runs will also give enjoyment to the best of skiers..
For beginners there is a vast expanse of green and blue runs and there is a free beginners lift very close to the chalet.
For snow boarders the terrain is as demanding as one wants it to be and there are a number of competitions for those who want to test their ability.
There is a network of safe and clearly marked walking trails. There are courses for snowshoe walkers (a kind of underfoot tennis racket) as well as cross-country skiing. There is an olympic skating rink, bowling alley and a number of other sporting activities as well as special rate passes to take non-skiers to the vast range of mountain restaurants.
