The chalet is a traditional Haute Savoyard Alpine chalet which dates back to the 18th century and has been recently renovated in the Alpine style.The chalet is situated above La Chapelle d'Abondance in France.The chalet is in the Portes du Soleil which is Largest International ski area that covers over 650km in France and Switzerland, the chalet is music box like with magnificent views over the village and the slopes opposite.
The chalet has a cosy Alpine feel the living room has a large open log fire and mezzanine that surrounds the room. The quaint kitchen dining room has wooden beams in alpine wood clad which is well equipped with a cooking range.The six large bedrooms have views of the valley and are done in Alpine decor. The chalet holds up to 12 people and is only 5 minutes to the ski slopes.
Ski Chalet Facilities:
- The accommodation consist of 6 large bedrooms, 2 twins, 2 doubles and 2 family rooms.There are 4 ensuite shower/bathrooms and 1 share shower room.
- The bed linen is provided with fresh towels and robes,The chalet has sky TV and CD player,wifi internet,games,ski shed and drying room.
- The chalet is only 5 minutes drive to the nursery slopes in the village, it is also possible to ski down to the gondola from the chalet which takes 6 minutes on skis.

About La Chapelle d'Abondance
La Chapelle, a popular Alpine village in the Haute Savoie, is part of the massive Portes du Soleil ski domain – the largest international linked ski area in the world with over 650 km of pistes in both France and Switzerland, and a superb snow record. It is a Franco-Swiss traditional village famous for its gastronomique restaurants and the local people are very friendly and hospitable. There are stylish shops in the village centre including ski shops. There is also a pharmacist, banking facilities and a ski school.
The 6 person gondola from La Chapelle takes you up to Portes du Soleil which lies north of Mont Blanc. The area covers 7 valleys with 220 lifts that are well linked and spread over the French Alps. There are a variety of runs with open red runs and cruising blue runs through the trees.
There is excellent skiing at La Chapelle with lesser queues and has ideal nursery and beginner slopes in the Village with lots of progresive runs for intermiediates and beginners, the area benefits from heavy snow falls due to the micro climate around Lake Leman.
