Chalet La Luge, in the resort of La Tzoumaz, an alternative to Verbier with quick access to the same great skiing, was designed specifically as a catered chalet, to offer guests the best holiday accommodation possible.
As long-time skiers we we knew that we wanted to provide en-suite accommodation for all guests, that it's important for the children to have a separate area where they can watch TV or films (we have a large DVD library, and Smart TV with Netflix etc), play on the Wii or various board and card games. This in turn means that the adults can relax on the leather sofas in front of the fire and enjoy their delicious meal in peace! Then of course there's the jacuzzi, a top quality tub with numerous powerful jets seating 7. Unwind after the day's activities with stunning views all around, and for a final muscle relax spend some time in the sauna.
The chalet is laid out over 2 floors plus a mezzanine level. Comfortably sleeping 12 (16 when using the bunk beds) in 6 bedrooms, each with it’s own en-suite facilities. Furnished with large comfortable beds, all rooms can be arranged with twin or super king size double beds. 2 bedrooms can have optional bunk beds, thus sleeping 4 each, ideal for larger family groups, although they are made of sold oak and we've had adult groups use them too!
4 of the ensuite bathrooms have shower enclosures with luxury powerful showers. The remaining 2 have full-size baths with the same showers above. Quality egyptian linen and fluffy towels, along with bathrobes and slippers come as standard.
The stunning open plan living/dining room has a ceiling that is open showing off the lovely roof beams, overlooked from the mezzanine library - a spacious area in which to relax in the squashy leather sofas in front of a real fire. Dinner is served around the elegant, large square table, allowing everyone plenty of elbow room. Spotify or your own music, videos, youtube, stream your own from the mini-computer and TV.
Alternatively, take some time out and soothe away the day’s aches and pains in the sauna followed by a soak in the hot tub out on the terrace – wherever you are, you’ll have magnificent views of the Swiss Alps.
Wifi throughout the chalet. There’s also a separate TV room, with big soft beanbags, a Smart TV, use our Netflix or log on to your own account, giving the kids their own space to play games, but also to make sure that you don’t miss the important match of the season.
