Chalet Brio was built with light space and comfort in mind. Our 6 rooms are all ensuite and the chalet has been built to an exceptional standard with floor to ceiling windows giving amazing views across the valley. We have a large outdoor hot tub, sauna, gym and a large outdoor swimming pool (summer only shared with La Terrasse), log fire, Wifi and English TV.

In the winter in Chalet Brio we offer a fully catered chalet with a big breakfast including freshly baked croissants and pain au chocolats, a range of cereals and porridge, eggs, bacon, fruit, tea, coffee and juices. In the afternoon homemade cake is laid out with tea and coffee and a 4 course evening meal is served in the evening including cheese board and port with complimentary unlimited matched bottled wine and soft drinks.

In the summer Chalet Brio is let as a self catered accommodation with all the kitchen equipment you would need. However, if you did want to treat yourselves just as ask us about our private catering service.

Chalet Brio is located in the wonderful area of Samoens only 50 mins from Geneva airport and 8 hours from Calais. The village is part of the Grand Massif ski/hike/mountain bike area which includes 5 resorts - Flaine, Samoëns, Morillon, Sixt and Les Carroz. We have a great snow record with the lift access reaching 2500m and a variety of pistes and off piste options to suit all levels and interests. We are also at the base of the famous Col du Joux Plane a mecca for road cyclists in the summer, but for those wanting to take it easy we have wonderful flat walks along the riverside and lakes for swimming.

About Samoens

Sameons is a lovely place to come for a winter holiday with your family, by yourselves or in a large group; the resort is very friendly and has expanded without losing its individuality. It also offers a whole range of different activities so it is especially suitable for groups where not everyone wants to ski.

The Haute Savoie stretches south from the shores of Lake Geneva to the Italian border and some of the best known ski resorts are to be found here; Chamonix, Megeve, Flaine and Morzine among them, scattered among the high peaks that make up much of the impressive scenery. The Grand Massif itself is the fourth largest ski area in France with 265 km of pistes to enjoy. At its centre is Flaine 1600; purpose built, the sixties Bauhaus architecture is now softened by new developments and currently the focus for extensive new investment and improved infrastructure. Circling Flaine the villages of Sixt, Samoens, Morillon and Les Carroz nestle into the lower slopes, each with their own special characteristics.

With glorious views and surrounded by mountain peaks Samoens lies at the heart of the valley, a very pretty small town and the only ski resort awarded 'Coq d'Or' and classified as an historic monument. Proud of its’ history and traditions, stone masons, farmers, woodmen, cheese makers and wine producers still flourish here and the streets and nearby slopes are scattered with traditional working farms and artisan workshops set amongst the chalets. The Giffre valley winds up past Samoëns to Sixt, where it comes to a halt facing the rugged circle of glaciers that make up the Fer à Cheval. From here, mountain and cross county trails lead into the National Park.
Development here has been paced, allowing Samoens and the other local villages to retain much of their authenticity, all of which adds to their appeal. People often come here year after year throughout the seasons, to enjoy the quality of life, to appreciate the tradition and history of the valley, and to make the most of all that is on off

Activities near Samoens

We have great outdoor activities on our doorstep - in the winter 265km of pistes plus endless off piste options and in the summer the lifts re-open for World class downhill mountain biking and incredible alpine hiking. On the valley floor cyclists take up the challenge of the Col du Joux Plane and the Col de Colombiere or find one of the multiple crags for single and multipitch sport climbing.

Organised activites include rafting, paragliding, treetop adventure and canyoning. If you prefer things at a slightly slower pace then riverside walking, yoga, pilates and mindfullness sessions are all available.
