Centrally situated in the village of Les Collons at a snow-sure altitude of 1800 metres, Chalet Etoile Polaire is a traditional, Swiss chalet offering extremely spacious accommodation for families and groups of friends travelling together.
The chalet enjoys a great, central location, quietly set back from the main street of the village and only 100 metres from the main chairlift. All the amenities including shops, bars, restaurants and ski equipment/mountain bike hire etc are right on the doorstep. Guests will love the chalet’s sunny position and the uninterrupted panoramic views from its balcony along a spectacular mountain range to the Dent Blanche and the mighty Matterhorn.
Chalet Etoile Polaire is the ideal base for your holiday in the Swiss Alps whatever the season. Les Collons is part of the fabulous 4 Valleys including Verbier and the region’s reputation as one of the leading high-level winter ski areas of Europe is well deserved. There are over 400 kilometres of pistes with 99 lifts up to an altitude of 3300 metres offering a superb mix of skiing for all abilities. In summer it’s a unique mountain environment benefiting from a wonderfully, sunny microclimate (around 300 days sunshine a year) which presents a host of outdoor activities ranging from walking, hiking and mountain biking to first class golf, thermal hot springs, wine tours and plenty more besides.

About Les Collons
Chalet Etoile Polaire is in the mountain village of Les Collons in the canton of Valais. As a ski resort it links into the eastern sector of the extensive 4 Valley ski domain. The village stands at 1800/1850 metres and benefits from additional snow making facilities so skiers and boarders are guaranteed snow from December through to April. In summer it makes a great starting point for walking/hiking trails and mountain biking and the area offers several first class golf courses, thermal hot springs, wine tasting plus plenty of scenic and cultural attractions.
The chalet boasts a convenient, central location which is just a few minutes walk to the pistes and the main chairlift up to Thyon 2000. The Swiss accredited ski school can be booked in advance see and the meeting place is at the top of the chairlift or accessible via the free ski bus. Lift passes can be pre-booked or bought at the chairlift station. There is a choice of 2 local sports shops for hiring skis/boards and boots in winter; mountain bikes etc

Standing at 1800 metres at the quieter end of the extensive Four Valley ski domain, Les Collons is a skiers’ and snowboarders’ paradise offering easy access to over 400 km of pistes and 90 lifts. With assured snow cover from December through to April, a sophisticated lift system, fewer queues and Verbier just an hour or so ski away, it’s a perfect location.
There are opportunities for skiers of all abilities – the more advanced will relish challenges of Etherolla and the moguls and off-piste around the Mont Fort Glacier; intermediates will enjoy the long, cruising runs at Veysonnaz, including the famous World Cup run, Piste de l'Ours and beginners will gain confidence on the sunny, open slopes above the resort. The snow board park at Thyon is the best in the region.
