Superb and well located hotel, ideal for couples and groups

Hotel Grüner Baum has a quite interesting as it started life as a butchers back in 1945, then into a gastronomy house and eventually the superb and friendly hotel you will find today. In its pursuit of culinary quality, they have experimented with different regional produce, recipes and creative presentation, culminating in the dishes offered, infusing ideas from 113 Austrian regions......which means if you don't enjoy your half board option, we will give up!

Given the gastronomic experience you will have here we can turn to its second major attribute, that being its location on Sebastian Horl Gasse. You are in the pedestrian zone, right amongst the hustle and bustle of Zell am See and around a 5 minute amble to the CityXpress lift, so whilst not being ski in ski out, (yet very convenient for the slopes), it is certainly "apres" ski in/out. The lake is in the opposite direction a couple of minutes walk away.

The interior of this quality 4 star hotel is both modern and homely, with a friendly and welcoming service,  which makes for a luxurious winter holiday. The atmospheric Greens pub, the stylish Greens XL cocktail bar and the comfortable dining areas provide both a welcome haven and spacious spaces to unwind after skiing and you can also enjoy complimentary use of both of the saunas. If driving here parking is complimentary.

The classy hotel enjoys a close working relationship with the St. Valentin distillery in lower Austria which means you can enjoy a selection of fine liqueurs, brandies and ciders, some of which have received coveted awards.

Choose from Austrian twins , doubles, single bedrooms and apartments sleeping 2-4 with balconies and mountain views. All 45 bedrooms are comfortable, spacious, en suite and furnished in an inviting style which couples tradition with modern functionality.
