In winter you can reach the slopes of the Hochkönig ski area in just a few minutes by car, a ski area with guaranteed snow and more than 120 km of slopes as well as numerous picturesque mountain huts. The family and small ski areas Hinterreit and Hochkeil also offer special charm.
There are plenty of shops for your daily needs right in town as well as a good selection of restaurants. The state capital Salzburg can be reached in about 1 hour by car.
