Tucked away in one of the most private yet central parts of Méribel, Chalet Arolla enjoys a quiet location amongst snowy pine forest only 2 minutes’ drive from the nearest chairlift. The area ranks as one of the most sought-after in the resort, for its magnificent views and proximity to the slopes. For evenings exploring, Méribel’s shops and bars are just a short (2 min) chauffeured minibus ride away.

Sleeping 10 guests in five individually decorated en-suite bedrooms, the chalet blends traditional Alpine style with modern accents to stunning effect. Spread across three floors with plenty of cosy corners for the family to escape to, Arolla is spacious yet intimate, with stylish soft furnishings and exposed wooden beams making it a wonderfully inviting place to retreat to after a day on the pistes.

The chalet’s bottom floor is devoted to post-ski relaxation, featuring an elegant steam room, massage area and doors leading outside to the alluring sunken hot tub, which commands splendid views of the Tougnète side of the valley. Next-door you’ll find the delightful television snug, perfect for keeping little ones entertained.

Arguably the most enchanting part of Arolla, however, is its enormous top floor, comprising a generous dining area, sitting room and well-stocked bar, in a convivial open-plan layout. All eyes are drawn to the striking suspended fireplace, where a crackling log fire beckons you to curl up with a slice of homemade cake or glass of champagne. Floor-to-ceiling picture windows let in plenty of light, while glass doors open onto a large, south-facing terrace which soaks up the afternoon sun.

Blessed with an enviable range of facilities and peaceful location, Chalet Arolla is a charming place to stay. There is a shuttle service to the slopes (maximum 2 trips in the morning and 2 trips in the afternoon).

We offer contactless chalet services with the choice of two pricing options:

Catered:
Our set menu with food and drink included in the catered price. An all-inclusive price, which includes rental of the chalet and your food and drink for the week. Included will be breakfast and afternoon tea for 7 days, a three-course dinner on 6 nights, plus unlimited wine and some beers. We have prepared a delicious menu for the week, with a mix of ready prepared meals from a local delicatessen and easy to cook dishes or sides. All that will be required from you is to pop a few things in the oven and throw together a few ingredients to make a simple salad or steam a few vegetables as sides to your main meal. There will be no staff in your chalet.

Self-catering:
The self-catering price excludes food & drinks. However, if you like you can avail of our free à la carte catering service. This is a food shopping & delivery service which allows you greater flexibility to eat and drink whatever you desire. The kitchen will be stocked before your arrival; a mid-week restock is available if needed. The cost of the food & drink depends on what produce you choose to order, and is paid by you, at cost price. Perhaps you want the freedom to choose your own menus, or perhaps you'd prefer to eat out more than one evening during the week, or you just love to cook yourself and enjoy the holidays where you have time to do this in a relaxed way. Four days before arrival, you will receive a comprehensive shopping list to choose from with everything you could possibly need for your holiday. That might be oven-ready meals, or the ingredients you'll need for Bolognaise, Soufflés or Cheese Fondues. Dry goods, dairy, fresh fruit and veg, fresh meat or fish, beers, wines, champagne, whatever you choose, are all bought for you and stocked in your chalet in advance of your arrival.

All orders will be made with Savoyard delicatessens and supermarkets. Located in the French Alps for the last 30 years, we have a well-developed network of local partners, so we can guarantee fresh, local, and of course tasty dishes.

Included in the price: beds made on arrival, bath robes and slippers, mid-week and end of stay cleaning, mid-week towel change, satellite TV, free WIFI access in the chalet.

About Meribel

Méribel was founded by Scotsman Colonel Peter Lindsay in 1938 when he built the first lift (a 31-seater fixed rope sled that was installed above Les Allues). His aim was to create a purpose built ski resort, which remained faithful to the mountains that surrounded it.
Though Méribel has grown into one of the great ski resorts and is at the heart of the largest and, for many, the finest ski area in the world, it has remained faithful, to this day, to Peter Lindsay's aims. All the buildings in the town are constructed in the traditional Savoyarde style from wood and stone, making Méribel one of the most attractive ski resorts in France.
In Méribel we offer seven of the most luxurious ski chalets available in Méribel, situated in the resort's most exclusive enclaves.
There is something for everyone in Méribel, convivial bars and every type of restaurant, from the Michelin Starred to the simple, offering crêpes and traditional Savoyarde cuisine. For non-skiers and skiers alike there are plenty of non-skiing diversions. There are many scenic walks around Méribel and Mottaret and many of the mountain restaurants can be accessed from the gondolas.
Sightseeing flights can be taken from the Altiport. There is the Olympic Ice Rink, swimming pool, a bowling alley, fitness centre, snow-mobiling and shops of every kind. Or why not just unwind in your chalet with a good book or watching a video. What could be more relaxing? For more details please visit the non skiing activities page.
The nightlife of Méribel is centred around The Taverne, Le Pub, Jack's and l'Abreuvoir. Though if you are looking for a quieter drink we recommend the Grand Coeur or the Chaudanne hotels. And for those with the stamina, O'Sullivans is open till 4 in the morning.
