About Courmayeur
We are in the high part of Aosta Valley on foot of Mont-Blanc.
Derby, 824 mt altitude, as hamlet of the comune of La Salle, is a very calm rural village surrounded from ample grasslands and woods.
It represents a good point of departure for visits and excursions, trekking and walks. Its strategic position allows to reach in shortly time, in summer as in winter, the ski resorts of Thuile and Courmayeur, The Gran Paradiso park, as well as the mythical thermal baths of Pré-Saint-Didier situated nearby.
It’s very accessible since the whole village and surrounds are flat and the crossroad access to the national road SS 26 is at 700 mt. Entry for highway A5 Monte-Bianco-Torino at 5 km.
The stop for the bus Aosta-Courmayeur is distant 400 mt.
At 3 km, on the roundabout for la Salle centre, you’ll find a good alimentary shop, bank and cash distributor, tobaccos and newspapers, bar-pizzeria.
