Chalet Ros V is a 5 bedroom, 4 bathroom chalet we offer on a catered half board basis as well as a self catered basis and it is situated in the ever popular Les Balcons de Val Thorens area, which has a south-facing aspect in the higher part of snow-sure Val Thorens. The residence is located on the slopes with door-step skiing (for intermediate skiers) and is a short 500m walk from the bustling centre of Val Thorens centre, with the free shuttle stopping close by..
Val Thorens is a semi-pedestrian ski resort, meaning you can drive through the resort and unload your luggage at your chosen apartment or hotel and then you must park your vehicle in the residences car park or one of the public car parks in the resort, you are not allowed to park in the street. The residence has underground parking (payable, max height 2.08m) or you can use one of the public outdoor or covered car parks (payable & pre-bookable)
Built in traditional, rustic wood & stone, the résidence has a range of comfortable apartments fitted to a very good standard with fully equipped kitchens including satellite TV and a balcony. Guests have complimentary access to the excellent spa with swimming pool, sauna, steam room and fitness room. Also there is an on-site restaurant.
The Residence consists of four chalet buildings forming its own hamlet, all buildings being traditionally built using wood and stone and offering exceptional panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. This 5 bedroom duplex apartment, spread over 2 floors which can sleep up to 12 people, is quite spacious at 150m2 with 2 double bedrooms, a twin bedroom and a smaller cabin bedroom with twin beds on the lower floor, together with 3 bathrooms and with a further twin bedroom, a bathroom and separate WC on the upper mezzanine floor.
The welcoming living area with its welcoming wood burning fireplace is open plan to the well equipped kitchen and dining area for up to 12 people. Our chef is one of the best you will find anywhere and therefore our catering is of a high standard so we do recommend the catered half board option with pretty much unlimited wine and beer, though there is a cheaper "delivered "option where your meals are prepared and delivered ready for you to reheat and eat.....or just book it on a self catered basis, whatever suits.
Customer Comment
“We had a lovely stay and the duplex room was spacious, had a large balcony and the kitchen was well equipped. The location of the chalet was great, with ski in and ski out, opposite a groceries shop and right in the town. The ski hire shop was in the property and well organised which was handy. You could also order pastries and fresh bread every morning from reception which was a bonus. Finally the staff were lovely and gave us free beers!”
