There are around 60 mountain lakes in Salzburg's Lungau, such as the Prebersee or the Schlierersee, the Lungau/Katschberg golf club is in the immediate vicinity of the town center and for swimming fun you can enjoy the St. Margarethen bathing pond, the St. Michael outdoor pool or the bathing island available in Tamsweg.
Sankt Margarethen im Lungau is about 30 minutes by car from Millstätter See and 45 minutes from Weissensee. The province is known for its castles, its folklore, the 370 km long cycle path, the "Mur cycle path" and its national parks.
