The Salzburg holiday resort of Leogang is located at 788 m above sea level in a valley basin, the long Leogang Valley. Surrounded by the Leoganger Steinberge and the Kitzbühel Alps, the place is a very good starting point for an active holiday with lots of outdoor activities.
In winter, the free ski bus, which stops almost on the doorstep (100 m), takes you to the well-known Skicircus Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang-Fieberbrunn ski area with a total of 270 kilometers of slopes. Alternatively, the Schmittenhöhe ski area in Zell am See offers 77 kilometers of slopes and the Kitzsteinhorn glacier ski area offers 61 kilometers of slopes.
In the Saalfelden - Leogang region there are 4 swimming lakes and outdoor pools for lots of swimming fun in summer: the idyllic natural swimming lake Ritzensee, the Obsmarkt adventure pool in Saalfelden, the Sonnrain leisure complex in Leogang and the Käpt"n Hook adventure pool in Saalbach-Hinterglemm.
