Chatel Ski Holidays
Chatel is a cute alpine village located in the Portes du Soleil ski domain. The village is located close to the Swiss border allowing you to ski in France in the morning and drop into Switzerland for the afternoon. Chatel ski resort has access to the 650km of pistes in the Portes du Soleil with something on offer for skiers and snow boarders of all levels. From Chatel you can link to the other ski resorts of Morzine, Les Gets, Abondance, Champery and Avoriaz which offer miles and miles of perfectly groomed pistes and plenty of wild off piste and free riding options.
The skiing in Chatel itself is located in two sectors. The Super Chatel area has the best skiing for beginners with plenty of gentle greens and blues. From Super Chatel you can access the other ski resorts of Torgon, Champoussin and Morgins. For more challenging intermediate or adanced skiing you shoud try the Linga sector which in turn links to Pre la Joux and onwards to Avoriaz. Here you will find plenty of red and black runs and also lots of powder and off piste areas. The Super Chatel ski area also offers a snow park with a boarder cross run and half pipe.
