Description
The Farmhouse is a beautiful Savoyard chalet located in the heart of Les Houches, just 200 metres from the nearest ski lift (Bellevue cable car) and the village’s other amenities. It is a traditional farmhouse which has been lovingly and sympathetically restored and brought up to date. The chalet is bursting with rustic charm with original wooden beams and a stunning double height living room with a wood burning stove. It has a large terrace with fantastic mountain views of the Aiguille du Midi and the St Marie aqueduct.
The Farmhouse has six double or twin bedrooms and a bunk room, all with en-suite bathrooms. It benefits from an outdoor hot tub with wonderful alpine views. It has two living rooms (so that adults can enjoy a gin and tonic upstairs while the children are watching a movie or playing downstairs) and two kitchens.
Guests enjoy access to wifi, satellite television (English and French channels) and a DVD player and have use of a locked and heated boot room and private parking for up to three cars. Travel cots and high chairs are available.
The chalet is offered on a self-catering basis.

Make some wonderful memories
Fantastic location for skiing either in Les Houches or trips to other lifts in Chamonix (for a bit of variety). Les Houches was our favourite place for skiing, especially the variety of beginner/intermediate pistes, and restaurants with great views and relatively affordable food.
Being so close to the lift and in the village made it very easy for a large group to split up and meet up again without too much fuss. We even came back to the chalet for lunch a couple of times after an early morning trip to Flegere, before heading up for a few runs and drinks in the sun with views of Mont Blanc in the afternoon.
The house itself is very charming, has wonderful communal areas and big dining table, where we had some memorable evenings discussing the day's adventures.
The outside, heated ski-boot room is very handy for dumping stuff at the end of the day and the views from the hot tub (which the kids loved) and garden at the back of the house are amazing.
Its good to set your expectations at the right level - it is an old house with some niggles, however the owner was very responsive and immediately addressed any issues we had.
Its also good to be aware that the road is right at the top of the steps from the garden (no pavement) so you need to make sure everyone is traffic-aware when leaving.
Neither of those last two points affected our holiday negatively in any way, and we would definitely book this wonderful place again for a winter holiday.

Beautiful and comfortable chalet in a convenient location
We had a lovely, comfortable stay in your beautiful, well equipped chalet. Our only very minor complaint was the size of the main floor kitchen and particularly the dishwasher capacity.
