Chalet Jaune is located in the traditional village of Montorlin, just 2 minutes drive away from the ski lifts and resort of Montchavin (or for the energetic a 10 minute walk!)
The ski area of Montchavin, la Plagne has something for all levels. There are two beginners' areas making it ideal for families. For intermediates, there are wide blues and reds and the blacks on the Bellecôte Glacier are testing enough for any advanced skier or boarder, with the off-piste route down the North Face of the Bellecôte Peak well worth experiencing.
In addition, Montchavin la Plagne is part of Paradiski, one of the world's largest ski areas with access to 425km of downhill skiing served by 141 ski lifts.
The slopes down to Montchavin, la Plagne are maintained by 277 snow cannons. As many pistes in la Plagne are above 2500 metres, skiing and snowboarding is guaranteed late into the season.
