The Sestriere Olympic Village consists of six 4-storey buildings. Our flats are located in the Palazzina Astore, which is the closest to the hotel facilities, and the flats are divided between the third and fourth floors, affording a splendid view of the valley and the Monginevro pass.
These are spacious 52 m2 two-room flats, consisting of an entrance hall, bedroom, bathroom with dressing room and large living room with kitchenette. The flat is completed by a splendid terrace with a view and a sunny south-west position.
The building is connected by lift to the garage and by internal corridors to the hotel's common facilities, which are very spacious, from the bar to the restaurant, the conference room, the swimming pool, the gym, the sauna and other rooms.
Outside there is a splendid terrace for mainly summer use, which allows both sunbathing and outdoor dining, and there are also small communal green areas for aesthetic use.
The Sestriere Olympic Village was used in 2006 to host athletes during the Winter Olympics, for which Sestriere was the most important centre, hosting all downhill skiing disciplines,
Sestriere is an Alpine pass at an altitude of 2000 m. that joins Val di Susa and Val Chisone. Nearby, we have Val Argentera (from Sauze di Cesana) and Val Troncea (19.9 km) from Pragelato), which are beautiful valleys that can be travelled in winter on cross-country skis and in summer with wide roads and trails leading to the Troncea refuge (1,915 m) or the Alpe Plana refuge (2,090 m).
