St Martin de Belleville Ski Holidays
St Martin de Belleville is part of the magnificent Three Valleys ski area. Located at 1450m altitude in the French Alps it offers a traditional Savoyard village with authentic chalets and restaurants yet has quick lift access to one of the largest ski areas in Europe. With links to the other 3 Valleys ski resorts of Les Menuires, Meribel, Val Thorens, Courchevel, and La Tania the area over a total of 600km of groomed pistes and over 200 lifts. If you are looking for an authentic alpine village in the heart of the Trois Vallees then this is the place for you. The village which dates from the 16th century has retained the original wood and stone style ski chalets that were traditional in this part of Savoie. The village can be a little quieter than the other resorts in the Three Valleys but that is not a bad thing and there are still lots of excellent restaurant, bars and local taverns to enjoy. Come here if you want to savour the real French hospitality.
As regards the skiing what more can be said. With access to the vast Trois Vallees ski area there is limitless skiing for all abilities. There are super-fast links to both Les Menuires and Meribel which open up access to the whole 600km of pistes on offer. With high altitude skiing available up to 3200m and almost 300 snow cannons the resort is able to guarantee perfect conditions throughout the ski season.
For beginner skiers there are plenty of gentle blues in the Saint Martin area itself. For the novice skier there is no need to venture beyond the village. Hop on the Saint Martin quad lift and off the top of the lift there are lots of easy blues back into the village. For the intermediate skiers you have all of the vast Three Valleys to explore, with Les Menuires and Meribel offering some good mid range skiing than can expand into more challenging terrain. Expert skiers and snowboarder will no doubt enjoy the terrain parks in Meribel and Courchevel as well as the limitless off piste free riding that is available. For cross country skiing there are many ski trails especially in the Les Menuires area. There are plenty of excellent ski school so tuition is never a problem regardless of your skiing ability.

Summer in St Martin de Belleville
During the summer St Martin de Belleville is just as active as in the winter season. The resort is a real village where locals live all year round. This makes it a great location for a summer holiday in the Alps. All the usual alpine summer activities are on hand including walking, climbing, hiking and mountain biking. There is an extensive network of mountain biking trails stretching between St Martin de Belleville, Meribel and Val Thorens with routes to suit all the family. A little more unusual is the summer tobogganing which is very popular. For families there is plenty to do including a couple of model farms and several local historic tours. For course with a car you can venture further and explore the surrounding villages and resorts.
