Chalet Zelda is situated 2100 m high on the mountainside in Trepalle, Livigno, with excellent facilities and spectacular views down to the valley, and up to Passo de Fosciagno. The Chalet is a few steps away from a supermarket and close to local alpine specialty shops. There are a few coffee shops, bars and restaurants in the area and one of Livigno's best local specialty restaurant "La Pernice", which serves the local hot stone dish, can be reached in a beautiful ten minute walk. The skilift and the famous Burton Snow Park is 450 meters away. If you are looking for the real mountain experience Chalet Zelda is your ideal base for skiing, walking, and mountain biking. Kids can use the toboggans for an evening or two out in the snow, or alternatively play some table tennis inside. Accommodation consists of five apartments varying in size from 65 sqm to 210 sqm, each generously equipped with everything you could need for a relaxing stay. All apartments have large windows and balconies, or terraces where the stunning mountain views can be enjoyed. There is plenty of parking outside and a heated garage with ski racks.

Until the 1960's Livigno was practically cut off for the winter months, and its altitude and short summer made it difficult to grow crops. For generations Livigno was subservient to Bormio, but the effort made by the people of Livigno in developing a truly international reputation as an ecological tourism destination has paid off, and now the population of Livigno exceeds that of Bormio. Livigno's remoteness and its geography meant that the people were able to secure tax privileges since the middle ages and it retains duty-free status today. The closest airport is 200km away making Livigno one of the most remote places in Europe, but its remoteness is a very great part of its charm and the exceptional friendliness of the people. Public ground transportation:
Swiss National Railways serves Zernez (30km from Livigno) with connecting rail services available to Zurich Airport (ZRH) or Freidrichshafen Airport (FDH) and all over Europe. Silvestri Bus runs a shuttle service from Zernez Station to Centro Sci Fondo in Livigno and the timetable is integrated in the Swiss Railways online timetable.
Transfer from Milan Bergamo Airport (BGY) by bus or train to Tirano then Perego bus or taxi to Livigno.
Finding Baita Zelda:
If approaching from Switzerland, follow signs in Livigno for SS.301 Bormio. After Passo Eira (the top of the hill) watch out for a large white parish church 1.5km further along (it is quite a landmark). Turn left immediately after the AGIP garage on the left, then sharp right, Baita Zelda is 50m on the right.
If approaching from Italy upon entering Trepalle watch out for NEGOZIO 2000 on the left , 50m later COOPERITIVA SUPERMARKET in right, turn right 20m after the supermarket (towards the church) then sharp right, Baita Zelda is 50m on the right.

You can opt to save any of these fees, like; agree to clean and bring towels, but have linens provided, which means you will just need to pay 50 Eur for linens.
We believe that if we can offer some saving opportunities for our valued guests in any form, this can create a large difference. You have a living room, a kitchen, and kitchenettes for self-catering, dining, balcony view; we want to make you feel at home.
