Description
Our project to renovate the former primary school of Les Deux Alpes and transform it into a chalet began in 2017. The original building has been divided into two adjoining chalets, each with extensions on the ground floor (welcoming garage, lounge, hammam and swimming pool) to create additional space and comfort for our guests. The work was completed in December 2018.

excellent chalet
We were a group of 4 families staying with young children and this chalet was ideal. It was clean and furnished with style. The bedrooms were a good standard chalet bedroom size. The kitchen and living area felt spacious and allowed us to have several adults in the kitchen at once. The pool was ideal for the kids. Deep enough to make them swim but small enough to be easy for them to reach the other side. I liked that the door to the pool could be locked so they couldn't access it without an adult. The steam room was a luxury. The parking was good, although not undercover, it was at least off the road and would accommodate 4 vehicles.
I would suggest to others booking this chalet you will need to provide your own toilet paper, tea towels and soap. We bought our own bath towels but didn't think about toilet paper or soap. It was a short walk uphill to the nursery slopes. It is a long walk to the centre of town for the little ones. We found the free buses were very busy at peak times of day and unable to accommodate extra passengers. We went of a quiet week so goodness knows what it is like on a peak week.
The road that this chalet is located on has a bakery and two good restaurants. With ski hire and small supermarket all less than 2 minutes walk, there is no need to venture into the centre of town if you don't want to. overall one of the best chalets I have stayed in.

Chalet that exceeded my expectations
I recently stayed at a Chalet des Ecoliers Le Préau that exceeded my expectations in every way. The cleanliness of the chalet stood out immediately—it was spotless and well-maintained, which made the stay feel even more relaxing and comfortable. The location was fantastic, with everything we needed just a short walk away, including shops, restaurants, and most importantly, the ski slopes. It was incredibly convenient to hit the slopes without any hassle or long commutes. The chalet also had a cozy atmosphere, perfect for unwinding after a day of skiing. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a convenient, clean, and welcoming place to stay during a ski trip.

Very nice and well equipped house.
It's not a real ski in/out, but slope is not so far ( ~50 meters).
Nice fireplace.
It's warm and clean.

Would love to stay again
Location is perfect next to Belle Etoile lift. The chalet is modern and beautifully furnished. Communication is great and the pool is very fun
